High Street Shopfront Repainting in Falmouth

This project involved completely transforming the exterior of a shop on High Street in Falmouth from its original black finish to a soft pink colour.

Because of the very dark existing paintwork, achieving an even, solid finish required considerably more coverage than a normal repaint. The shopfront was prepared and painted in stages, with five coats required overall before the black was completely covered and the new colour achieved a consistent finish.

Particular attention was given to the traditional timber detailing around the windows, doors, columns and decorative panels, ensuring that the character of the original shopfront was retained while giving the property a completely fresh appearance.

The finished result dramatically changed the look of the frontage and provided a bright, welcoming exterior for the new shop.
